Raised Foundations for Shore or Waterfront Properties

Raised Foundations for Shore or Waterfront Properties

Many shore properties face at some point in their lifetime water and drainage issues. One of the most common problems is their aged foundations. We at Oly Mattera Construction, employ special concrete foundation enhancements and repairing techniques. In the case of shore properties, piering is the prefered technique that we apply. Piering consists of driving steel pipe pilings to remedy failing building foundations and to correct foundation settlement.

Types of piering:

Push piers - are made of sections of galvanized or epoxy-coated steel pipe that are driven into the ground with the help of a powerful hydraulic ram.

Helical piers - use screw piles with steel shafts. The piers are screwed into the ground with a hydraulic torque motor.

We attach hydraulic jacks to the now embedded steel piers and raise the foundation back to its original position. Once the structure is at the desired elevation the piles are bolted or welded to wall brackets thus locking structure in the correct position.

Our company specializes in concrete foundation special repairing and enhancements services in the Fairfield County Area and throughout Connecticut.
